We are seeking an Intern Pharmacist to join our team at Googong Pharmacy. This full-time role will provide you with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a community pharmacy setting, while working towards your registration as a pharmacist.

What you’ll be doing

Assist in the dispensing of medication, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations

Provide professional advice and health counselling to customers on the safe and effective use of medicines

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Participate in pharmacy operations, including inventory management, stock ordering, and quality assurance

Contribute to the implementation of professional services and programs offered by the pharmacy

Engage in continuous learning and professional development to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge

What we’re looking for

Completion of a Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent degree and be eligible for provisional registration as a pharmacist in Australia

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service

Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure safe and effective medication management

A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred care and a genuine interest in the pharmacy profession

Familiarity with pharmacy software and systems, as well as a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Job Specification
Full Time Intern Pharmacist
working four and half days on the summer roster. The winter roster has longer days (we trade 8AM-7PM, seven days a week) with more days off for skiing or snowboarding. We have the very latest FRED Dispense, Electronic DD Book, FRED POS, Fred Office, HALO QUDA and Webitt with WebsterPak software for our DAA home patients. (we do not supply aged care). The intern is in charge of our DAA supply assisted by our full time Webster Suite Tech.
Experience Required * Completed Masters or Bachelor of Pharmacy + Australia Residency or 5 year Visa *
Team player * Passion to provide excellent customer service * Proven ability to communicate clearly and build good rapport with customers * A passion for sports medicine and first aid * You must be independent and happy to live away from home, having an AWD Vehicle and car licence a great advantage, Mandarin and European languages an advantage. Excellent English is vital.
Salary & Benefits includes Subsidised Accommodation for your time in the Snowy Mountains! We are a Fair Work Australia compliant site and pay all of the correct awards and benefits. Weekend, overtime hours attracts significant award loadings. For suitable applicants a two-year package is also available, which included free ski passes.
