What we are looking for:
It is preferable that you have had some (more than Uni work placement) PBS dispensing experience. The graduate we are looking for is passionate about the profession and compounding and is driven to challenge the status quo.

You must be prepared to deliver health promotion activities, use Self Care Health information, provide wellness advice, provide medication management advice and compound a variety of medications.
Importantly you will have excellent communication skills and a happy, friendly disposition. You will be expected to work at any of the Fresh Therapeutics pharmacies depending on the needs of the business and complete PCCA technical training before commencement (when available).

What we provide
We provide a friendly team environment, state of the art compounding laboratory and equipment and access to electronic databases, reference texts and journals that are rarely seen in other pharmacies.

The successful applicant will be offered a full-time (38hours per week) fixed term contract for the intern year. For several months before the internship commences we prefer the successful applicant to work at Fresh Therapeutics for several hours per week to enable training in compounding and pharmacy processes to take place. Wages are paid in accordance with the current Pharmacy Industry Award. At the conclusion of the intern hours, employment as a pharmacist at one of the pharmacies in our group may be offered but is not guaranteed.

Experience required:

Full time intern pharmacist working 5 days a week, approximately 8 hours a day. We use FRED dispensing software, FRED Office, WebsterCare MMS (WebsterPak) and GuildCare NG software for our community and nursing patients.

The intern position involves prescription dispensing, counselling of prescription and pharmacist-only medication supply and friendly customer service:

o Must have completed a Masters or Bachelor of Pharmacy and provisional registration and have the right to work in Australia
o Ability to provide excellent customer service
o Great communicate skills and sustain good rapport with customers
o Be able to work in a team
o A full driver’s license is a great advantage (owning a car is not essential)
