The primary role of the Intern Pharmacist is to perform tasks under Pharmacist supervision to the standards set by The Pharmacy Board of Australia, The Pharmacy Guild and QCPP.

The responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting our pharmacists with health promotions and the provision of professional services.
  • Helping the dispensary with day-to-day tasks and general administration
  • Compounding specialised medications
  • Webster packing services
  • Maintain the Pharmacy Practice Incentive Program
  • Assisting with scripts in/out and dispensing
  • Counselling customers about medications
  • Ordering and unpacking dispensary stock
  • Helping out with the retail side of the business

What’s required?

 Successful completion of a Bachelor degree or Masters in Pharmacy

  • Ability to undertake pre-registration year late 2019
  • Interest in gaining certification in Opioid Maintenance Treatment and Pharmacist Administered Vaccination

Hours and Remuneration?

 This is a full time (76 hours per fortnight) role which will include a regular weekend shift.

Our current pharmacist roster ensures there are multiple pharmacists working together across the majority of our opening hours, so plenty of support and collaboration is provided. You will be working alongside our Pharmacists throughout the year and will be given a varied roster throughout the week which will include different roles and dedicated study time off the floor.

Remuneration is as per the Pharmacy Industry Award.
