We are an independent compounding pharmacy operating within the healthcare floor of two major shopping centres. In addition to compounding and traditional pharmacy we provide a range of professional services including HMR’s, Meds-check, Diabetes meds-check, Chronic Pain Medscheck, Asthma Management, DAA’s, risk assessment for cardiovascular disease, COPD, diabetes, integrative medicine advice, staged supply, opiate substitution therapy and needle exchange. Each pharmacy is open 7 days per week.

What we are looking for:

  • It is preferable that you have had some (more than Uni work placement) PBS dispensing experience.
  • The graduate we are looking for is passionate about the profession and compounding and is driven to challenge the status quo.
  • You must be prepared to deliver health promotion activities, use Self Care Health information, provide wellness advice, provide medication management advice and compound a variety of medications.
  • Importantly you will have excellent communication skills and a happy, friendly disposition.

You will be expected to work at any of the Fresh Therapeutics pharmacies depending on the needs of the business and complete PCCA technical training before commencement.

What we provide:

  • We provide a friendly team environment, state of the art compounding laboratory and equipment and access to electronic databases, reference texts and journals that are rarely seen in other pharmacies.

The successful applicant will be offered a full-time (38hours per week) fixed term contract for the intern year. Completing an internship here exposes students to a broad range of experiences and patient scenarios from the traditional roles of patient counselling, dispensing, OTC transactions, BP monitoring to more specialised tasks such as Medscheck, Diabetes Medscheck, wound care dressing, BGL monitoring, NDDS provider, Care Plans, SMS reminder service, opioid substitute program, dispensary loop, delivering health talks, compounding, and flu vaccinations to name a few. You would also have the advantage of working with our automated dispensing system from Dose Innovations.

The successful applicant will have the pleasure of working with pharmacists with up to date clinical knowledge experience, with long term industry knowledge.
